Walter Gross is an articulate wonderchild of experimental/noise hip-hop. His chaotically unorthodox mixes and wonderfully sanguine releases are composed and constructed out of a refined miscellany of soundscapes, field recordings (one presumes), monstrous beats, and mass-media fragments. Walter Gross takes musical canvases and sculpts mosaics of art and sound, and the result is a nostalgic punk-influenced orchestra of break-neck beats straight out of Maryland. With dollops of punkabilly rancidness and hip-hop playfulness, Walter Gross has developed a unique style representing what it truly means to be from Baltimore. Just like a needle exchange program, Walter Gross takes in the dirty and returns a decisive resonance of noise that would dishearten the strong and empower the weak.
